Welcome to the Nano Gaming News Weekly Rewind for July 17, 2021 where we cover gaming news stories and events that we missed out on covering over this past week.
For those who live in the Northern Hemisphere the dog days of summer are here, but that doesn’t stop the release of new games like Mobiusgames’ Panic Mode or Creepy Brothers’ sequel Creepy Tale 2. Next week, publisher Alawar Premium and developer Wooden Monkeys are releasing their hacker-detective game Song of Farca. Then in a few more weeks Curve Digital and developer Skyhook Games will be releasing their lawn mowing and business management sim Lawn Mowing Simulator.
Coming later in 2022 will be a relaxing new title from Toplitz Productions and indie studio Family Devs called Harvest Days that is set in the rural farm country. For the time being players can get their early access country fun fix in Excalibur Games and developer Toxic Dog’s Ranch Simulator which just recently released the Build Anywhere Update.
Song of Farca PC Launch Next Week
International publisher Alawar Premium and developer Wooden Monkeys have set a release date for their upcoming hacker-detective game Song of Farca. The release is set for next week on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 on Steam, Epic Store, and GOG.
The game is a dark detective mystery set in the near future with a narrative structure of a US crime procedural. A Black Mirror-esque world now exists of digital dominance and the futuristic city of Farca is a haven for criminal gangs that have carved up the city into areas of influence. Law-abiding citizens are on their own as the corrupt government is unable to help. In the role of Isabella Song, players will hack computers, cell phones, and cameras to uncover the truth behind the criminal activity around the city.
Gameplay features the use of drones and hacking of private date. Suspects can be questioned and conclusions drawn from biometric data. As one assembles and collects their evidence they can analyze the clues using AI and make crucial decisions that will have consequences that follow.
Song of Farca launches on July 21, 2021 through Steam, Epic Games, and GOG.
Lawn Mowing Simulator Trims Lawns in August
Curve Digital and developer Skyhook Games are getting their yards in order for the August launch of Lawn Mowing Simulator. The lawn mowing sim and business management game is set in the British countryside and is coming to PC and Xbox Series X|S.
Using real-world licensed lawn mowers from known brands such as Toro, SCAG and STIGA, Lawn Mowing Simulator puts players at the helm of their lawn mowing business. Players can expect a physically authentic lawn mowing experience as they execute ground checks, adjust blade height, and measure engine load as they complete contracts across various game modes including Career, Free and Challenge. On the business side of things players can purchase and upgrade their base of operations, hire employees, purchase advertising, and balance the books as they grow their lawn mowing empire.
Lawn Mowing Simulator launches August 10, 2021 on Steam for Windows PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles for $29.99 USD.
Harvest Days Country Life Sandbox Aims for 2022 Release
Toplitz Productions and indie development studio Family Devs announced their collaboration on the country life sandbox title Harvest Days. This life simulation game wants to whisk players away from the urban grind and let them enjoy the charming open plains.
In the game players will live, work, manage, and unwind as they see fit in their new role as an independent farmer. Taking care of the farm has a range of activities from sowing the fields to tending the animals. Time can be passed in multiple ways that includes fishing, horseback riding, and enjoying the beauty of country life.
