Shadow Gambit Releases Two New DLCs and a Free Update

Mimimi Games’ swan song has arrived in the form of two new DLC expansions and a free update for their self-published tactical stealth strategy game, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew. The studio’s epic farewell includes content for both PC and consoles and 20% weekend discount.

Two new DLC expansions Shadow Gambit: Yuki’s Wish and Shadow Gambit: Zagan’s Ritual are available alongside the free “Treasure Hunt” update for the base game.

The “Treasure Hunt” update invites players to unleash their inner explorer as they embark on quests for legendary pirate treasures and artifacts. This new endgame content continues the exploration of the Lost Caribbean in a unique free-roam experience. Players can set foot on islands without constraints of specific story missions.

A total of 14 distinct “Treasure Hunt” missions will test a player’s skills. Each mission features different gameplay twists and objectives. Completion progress is tracked via a dedicated codex page.

Shadow Gambit: Yuki’s Wish

Yuki and Kuma from Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun have returned. The duo are cursed by the Lost Caribbean waters and with the curse comes all-new supernatural abilities.

This DLC allows players to visit the fabled Japanese-themed island of Dragon’s Dream. On this island an ancient dragon awaits, promising to grant wishes to the brave. Solve the dragon’s riddles to fulfill Yuki’s wish on an extraordinary quest that takes place across six memorable missions.

Shadow Gambit: Zagan’s Ritual

Sail across the Lost Caribbean with the Red Marley’s crew to an eerie island. On the island stands a mysterious Gothic-style castle where Zagan the Apostate, an enigmatic scientist, inhabits.

Zagan the Apostate invites players to perform a dark ritual that will uncover the secrets of the Inquisition’s holy flame. The saga unfolds through six missions where players can utilize Zagan’s powerful yet unstable powers against all threats. This closely-guarded Inquisition enigma will not easily reveal the secrets of its corrupted nature.

Mimimi Games

Mimimi Games was an independent game development studio based in Munich, Germany. The studio’s beginnings took root in 2008 with the team releasing their first title, Grounded on PC in 2009. Over the years, the studio has gone on to release numerous more titles on PC, consoles, and mobile devices including daWindci, daWindci Deluxe, The Last Tinker: City of Colors, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, and Shadow Tactics: Aiko’s Choice. In August 2023, a letter from the studio’s founder announced that Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew would be the studio’s final release as Mimimi Games would be closing down because of rising development costs and not enough revenue generation in the studio’s established genre.
