Technotopia Card City-Builder to Launch on Steam Mid-October

Publisher Alawar and independent developer Yustas are ready to launch their city-building card game, Technotopia, on Steam in mid-October. Get ready to build towering skyscrapers as an AI architect.

The quest is to shape the perfect city of the future. As Iris, an AI architect, players will utilize cards to build a perfect utopia. Every decision will shape this futuristic city and the wrong card played can lead to ruin.

Armed with a unique deck of cards, players will tackle the complexities of a futuristic city on the verge of collapse. Using the card deck, players will build districts, solve urban problems, and mediate between the four major factions: aristocrats, capitalists, politicians, and common people. Each faction has its own ambitions and needs. To keep the city thriving, striking a balance between those needs while staying on top of the city’s needs is a necessity.

Running a city is challenging. Random events only add to the challenge. Something as simple to constructing a new building can lead to an urban fire. From gangs taking control of a district to an all out natural disaster, players will want to listen to the factions to solve urban problems, but be wary of the outcomes if one wants to maintain a functioning utopia.

Technotopia Availability

Technotopia has a release date set for October 16, 2024 and will launch on Windows PC via Steam. Players can add Technotopia to their Steam wishlist to be notified when it becomes available. At press time, no details about the game’s price or any console releases were available.
