Automation and a Trends Panel are big parts of the Against the Storm Update 1.2 from publisher Hooded Horse and developer Eremite Games. This update for the fantasy roguelike survival city builder includes 123 changes with 76% of the changes inspired by the game’s community.
First teased on the Eremite Game’s 2024 Roadmap for Against the Storm, Update 1.2 includes a wealth of new free content. Automation unit, Blight Post upgrades, Trends Panel, Spanish (Lain America) localization, and a Search Bar in the Encyclopedia are just some of the changes in the update.
The Trends Panel is unlocked at the start of the game after the first tutorial. To access the Trends Panel, players can use the new button in the top right corner of the HUD. There are four sections in the panel: Goods, History, Recent, and Operations. This change to the UI is meant to give players a better overview of their settlement’s status.
Players can select or search for any resource in the Goods section. Clicking on the item will reveal two graphs: History and Recent. History details the last 30 minutes whereas Recent will detail the last 5 minutes. The Recent graph is interactive by selecting a certain segment, players can see a log of all events that affected the selected resource at the moment in time.
Blight Post upgrades bring a little familiar along with the new. For example most players will be familiar with faster Purging Fire production or increased Blight Fighter speed. New features include Blight Automation, a Rainpunk construct that travels around the settlement and aids in burning Blightrot Cysts during the storm.

Against the Storm Availability
Against the Storm is available on Windows PC via Humble Bundle, Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store for $29.99 / £24.99 / €29.99 / ¥3,980. The game is also available on the Microsoft Store for PC Game Pass.
In addition to English, localizations are available in German, French, Spanish, Italian, Czech, Hungarian, Polish, Ukrainian, Turkish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Thai, Korean, and Japanese.
The Against the Storm Supporter Pack has been updated to include a new 4K wallpaper and all of the World Event artwork. This add-on pack is available from Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store for $9.99.
