Publisher Iceberg Interactive and developer Bad Viking have released their 2D plant shop investigative mystery puzzle game, Strange Horticulture, on PlayStation.
Two years after the PC release of Strange Horticulture, the game is now available for PS4 and PS5 owners. The PlayStation release joins the other console releases for the game with the Nintendo Switch version having released in July 2022, and the Xbox console version having released last August. A mobile release is planned for March 26, 2024.
Gameplay is centered around the quaint town of Undermere. The dark and cozy adventure sends players out into the surrounding hag-infested forests and rugged mountains to collect and catalog powerful plants. Be wary as these lands are not always friendly and will present various challenges.
While in town, as a horticulturist, players run the local plant store and care for Hellebore the cat. The store is always busy as the cast of colorful characters always need something from the shop. Local happenings quickly thrust the player into an occult mystery that stretches back in time for centuries.
