United Kingdom based indie game studio Pawley Games and Iceberg Interactive have released into early access their space strategy game Star Dynasties. The role-playing turn-based sci-fi game is also running a weeklong 10% early access launch discount.
Set in the future in the Milky Way players find themselves in a heavily divided galaxy following Earth’s destruction. The story follows a procedurally generated narrative that is unique and full of both human drama and feudal politics. These two elements blend together with a light layer of empire management for players as they develop their character.
During the early access period there are three major updates planned. Each major update is scheduled to add a big feature to the game. Several smaller updates will occur based on player feedback, balancing changes, improvements, and bugfixes. The early access period is expected to be relatively short with a full release in 2021.
Star Dynasties is almost complete, and I’m excited to invite players to join us on the last leg of the journey. We’ve got some interesting features planned over the next six months to round out the experience – but what I’m most looking forward to is seeing how player feedback will influence the final shape of the project. The beta tests we’ve run have been some of the most stimulating periods of working on the game, and I hope Early Access will be as enjoyable, for both us and the community.

Players are able to play through their character’s life and the lives of their descendants as they guide their political household to glory over the galaxy. Either through conquests or by political diplomacy, players can expanded their empire and get what they want. Family members can be married off to help stabilize the empire or build external alliances. Reputation is everything where acting honorably can give opportunity for ruthless strikes. Spies let one uncover secrets of opponents while finding enemy agents. In the end it is up to the player to do what is necessary to ensure the empire thrives and survives.
