Deceive Inc. Brings Spy vs. Spy Action to PC and Consoles

Tripwire Presents and developer Sweet Bandits Studios have released their spy vs. spy multiplayer FPS, Deceive Inc., on PC and consoles. Bringing intense action, the fast-paced stealth spy shooter features cross-play support on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Gameplay is centered around a world of high-stakes subterfuge in various exotic locales. Players become an Agent for a private corporation who has a total monopoly on the international espionage market. Using state-of-the-art gadgets, players can disguise themselves as anyone they meet, while utilizing skills beyond the Hollywood super spies.

Objectives are fair game for any spy in the corporation, which means all spies are rivals. Each other spy is equally skilled and equipped as the player. Go at an objective along or as a team. Break in, accomplish the task, and break out alive to score that big pay check as company policy only allows one to get paid.

When I joined the team, DECEIVE INC. had already been living in the heads of a dozen developers,. To be honest, I was glad to join a team unbothered by their ego and determined to create a unique gameplay experience. With Tripwire Presents to back us up, we were able to create something I truly believe is special. The spies, the maps, the gadgets, the music, there’s a unique vibe to DECEIVE INC. that makes you want to click play again!

Carole-Ann Perron, Producer at Sweet Bandits Studios

Leading up to the release, the developer and publisher released a series of videos detailing various aspects of the game. For example, the Meet the Sweet Bandits Developer Diary discussed inspiration for gameplay design and challenges an independent studio faces when searching for a publisher. In addition, the developer held an Open Beta in early March that featured all eight launch-day agents and two maps: Hard Sell and Fragrant Shore.

When we first showed DECEIVE INC. to attendees at Gamescom, PAX, and EGX, it was so rewarding to see new players go from curious to fans in no time. They would come out of the demo so excited, asking questions, and giving us their feedback. The team at Sweet Bandits Studios have been one of the most proactive and receptive developers we’ve ever worked with in terms of letting the players help drive development and we look forward to seeing players dive into the world of DECEIVE INC. today!
