A stress test weekend is happening for Skydome, the competitive multiplayer 4 vs 4 tower defense arena title developed by Kinship Entertainment and being published by gamigo. The stress test starts on Friday, June 4 and runs until early Monday morning.
Offering a seamless blend between the MOBA and tower defense genre creating a unique gaming experience, Skydome’s developers are putting the game to a big stress test. Since April, the game has been in closed beta and is now quickly moving to its early access phase which will now happen in July 2021. This is the first of a number of balancing and stress tests that will lead up to the early access release.
For these future tests, new waves of Closed Beta applicants will be invited to participate and experience the game’s unique 4v4 gameplay. At release there will be a seasonal ranking system.
The story of Skydome begins when an ancient people created a temple floating high in the skies where champions are sent out to fight armies and monsters across the universe. Using their own individual strategies and skills, champions create defenses and towers to dominate the battle arena. Each champion is unique and gives players the opportunity to explore new abilities, defense towers, and strategies.
Matches are designed to be fast-paced 3D isometric action. Each moment of a match can bring thrilling challenges and new surprises. Players pick their playstyle and develop their own strategies in teams of four. Some may choose to run straight into battle head on and through special intervention skills that sabotage opponents whereas other players will choose to be more strategic. Becoming the ultimate champion of the battle arena will require mastery of death mazes, magic portals, and time manipulation.
A diverse roster of Champions awaits players which they can use to deploy walls and towers in effort to fortify the map while sabotaging opponent’s defenses. The invasion system sends waves of monsters at players which can be defeated by utilizing buffs, extra troops and more. MOBA-style jungle areas have unique boss monsters.
The first map in the closed beta is The Dawn Temple. This map requires heroes to join forces and face down countless waves of mighty enemies in a fight between the Sun and the Moon with the outcome deciding who should reign supreme.
Skydome is heading to early access in July on Steam. To sign up for Skydome closed beta stress test weekend that begins on Friday, June 4 at 8 AM PT and runs until Monday, June 7, 5 AM PT players will need to visit the game’s website and apply for access.
