Publisher Hooded Horse and solo developer Feryaz Beer have retired the original Super Fantasy Kingdom demo for the roguelite city builder.
Originally created as a proof of concept prototype, the Super Fantasy Kingdom demo along with the game’s announcement debuted at TactiCon 2023. In the first three months, the game appeared on over 85,000 wishlists and is now on over 160,000 wishlists.
Throughout 2023, the demo remained available on Steam and saw over 100 updates. During this time numerous features and experimental mechanics such as the faith tree were tested. Other prototype updates brought new characters and reworked performance tweaks.
Now the game is officially in a pre-alpha state and for Feryaz Beer it is time to retire the original Super Fantasy Kingdom demo. Besides being less representative of the final game’s vision, by retiring the prototype the developer is free to focus on the further development of the main game.
Super Fantasy Kingdom Availability
Super Fantasy Kingdom is planned to launch in Early Access on PC via Steam in 2024. A new demo, more representative of the final game, will debut later this year.
