Publisher Fireshine Games and developer Triplevision Games have fully launched their survival city-builder with roguelike deckbuilding mechanics, These Doomed Isles, into version 1.0 with the game’s Early Access exit.
The 1.0 launch introduces an all-new Campaign Mode that features unique missions for each of the four playable gods. Challenge Mode is a new and improved version of the previously seen Ascension Mode where players unleashed their might through a series of rigorous challenges. Earn Miracle Credits via these challenges to unlock new cards and improve their civilization’s chances of survival during future runs.
Similar to updates seen during the These Doomed Isles Early Access period, the 1.0 update will includes bug and stability fixes. Players will notice an enhanced user interface that allows for an improved experience when assembling their deck. On Steam, the developer posted the game’s Early Access roadmap and noted that they achieved every milestone.
Gameplay for These Doomed Isles is centered around players becoming one of four gods and creating a new world. Each god features their own playstyle, abilities, cards, aesthetics, and enemies. Current gods include: Cernunnos, the Celtic god of nature; Plutus, the Greek god of wealth; Acan, the Mayan god of wine; and Inari, the Japanese God of Rice and Prosperity.
Forge the land of a new world, build settlements, and lead a new civilization. Craft a deck and discover powerful combos from the more than 250 cards that bring benefits to followers and devastation to enemies. Defend the civilization from raiders, natural disasters, and mythical monstrosities in strategic run-based gameplay.
These Doomed Isles Availability
These Doomed Isles is now available in version 1.0 on Windows PC via Steam for $14.99. With the Early Access exit and 1.0 launch, the game is available at a 34% discount until November 6, 2024. Other platform releases are yet to be confirmed.
