Publisher Fireshine Games and developer Triplevision Games have released on Steam Early Access, These Doomed Isles, their survival city-builder with roguelike deckbuilding mechanics.
Become a god and create a new world. Forge the land, build settlements, and lead a civilization. Defend the new civilization from raiders, natural disasters, and mythical monstrosities in strategic run-based gameplay.
Play as one of three powerful gods. Each have their own playstyle, abilities, cards, aesthetics, and enemies. Current gods include: Cernunnos, the Celtic god of nature; Plutus, the Greek god of wealth; and Acan, the Mayan god of wine. Additional playable gods are planned throughout Early Access and before the game’s 1.0 launch.
I’m a huge fan of classic god games, so my goal for These Doomed Isles was to build a compelling strategy game that combines run-based, roguelike gameplay with city-building. We’ve received amazing feedback from the game’s prologue and playtests, so I’m really excited to let players jump into the Early Access version today. We’ll be listening closely to player feedback throughout Early Access, and have big plans to add new content and additional playable gods.

These Doomed Isles Availability
These Doomed Isles is available on Windows PC via Steam for $14.99. A limited-time introductory discount of 10% is available until October 2, 2023. Other platform releases are yet to be confirmed. Early Access is scheduled to last for 12 months and the game’s 1.0 launch is expected in 2024.
The free These Doomed Isles: The First God is available on Steam offering a prologue chapter of the main game. As Cernunnos, players lead the Celtic civilization to victory against waves on invaders and curses.

Fireshine Games (@FireshineGames X (formerly Twitter), YouTube) is a global publisher of digital and physical video games for both studio giants and new indie developers. Based in London, England, the 2014 established company originally operated under the Sold Out label. In March 2022, Sold Out rebranded itself as Fireshine Games. The updated brand name that better suited the company moving forward since digital games have a difficult time being sold out.
Triplevision Games Limited (@triplevisgames X (formerly Twitter), Itch.io) is a tiny game development studio with big ideas. Based in England the studio is focused on creating games with character while pushing classic genres in new directions. Included in the studio’s portfolio is the Early Access These Doomed Isles survival city-builder and Mable & The Wood, a beast hunting Metroidvania.
