Core Keeper Language Update Adds Four More Supported Languages

Fireshine Games and Pugstorm developer have added the Language Update to the sandbox mining adventure Core Keeper which features additional language support.

To celebrate the second anniversary of Core Keeper, the 0.7.4.0 Language Update has been released on PC. Four new languages have been added to the game: French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Chinese (Traditional).

Since the Core Keeper Early Access launch in March 2022, the 1-8 player adventure has went on to sell over 2 million copies. This summer with the 1.0 release, players on consoles will be able to join in on the fun of harvesting relics and resources, building a base, crafting powerful tools, and explore a dynamic world filled with legendary Titans.

It’s been an incredible two years for Core Keeper, lighting up the Steam community with over 500,000 sales during its first two weeks, and soaring to over 2 million units to date. We couldn’t have dreamed of a better start for the game, and with Core Keeper arriving on consoles later this year for the 1.0 release, we can’t wait for even more players to start their underground adventure. We are so thankful for the amazing community of players, and we look forward to surprising and delighting them with even more content to come at the 1.0 release.

A few mod tweaks are included in the update. Now when a mod fails to load, the game will now abort the entire mod loading process and will display an error message. Players can then choose to disable the mod to get rid of the error. Mods that do not explicitly support the current game version will not load by default. An option to load the mod anyway or disable it will be available. Text in the main menu displaying the number of mods is now less obtrusive and will now show any pending changes in what mods are loaded.

Several performance changes have made their way into the update. For example, the way unchanging parameters are stored with objects has been changed to reduce the in-memory size of many game objects. This change will reduce the game’s memory footprint and makes processing objects more efficient.

The update also includes nearly a dozen bug fixes. To read a more comprehensive list of changes in the Core Keeper 0.7.4.0 Language Update including the various bug fixes and performance changes visit the link here.

Core Keeper Availability

With the 1.0 release update, the game will launch digitally on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A physical edition will also be available day one for consoles with pre-orders opening up soon.

Core Keeper is currently available in Early Access on PC via Humble Bundle and Steam for $15.99. During Early Access, the game has sold over 2 million copies on Steam. The 1-8 player mining and crafting sandbox adventure where choices shape the journey received the Best Social Game award at the 2022 TIGA Awards and was nominated for Best Early Access Launch at the 2022 Golden Joystick Awards.
