Publisher Fireshine Games and developer ColePowered Games have launched version 1.0 of their immersive detective stealth sim, Shadows of Doubt. This full release brings about the Early Access exit on PC and a launch on consoles for PlayStation 5 (PS5) and Xbox Series X|S.
Explore fully simulated cities in this immersive detective sim. Meet individual citizens whom each have their own names, jobs, apartments, and daily routines. Utilize gadgets to uncover evidence, track down criminals, and solve cases. Everybody can be a potential suspect so players will need to be ready to scan fingerprints, browse call logs, read private emails, check CCTV, pick locks, and even sabotage security systems to be a detective that does what is necessary to solve a case.
In the 1.0 update release several new features have been added to the game. Kidnapping is a brand new case type where detectives are tasked with finding and saving victims. One will need to act quickly and solve clues in time if the victim is to be saved from the perpetrator. Criminals may wish to contact detectives in effort to cover up their crimes by having key evidence disposed of for a price.
Expand the investigation in the laboratory. These new explorable spaces can appear throughout buildings and feature new items that can be used to decorate the detective’s home. Two new pre-generated cities are available to explore and beat back crime: Casablanca Quarter and New Lily-Crofte. No detective in a rainy-noir world is complete without their brand new clothing accessory, the umbrella.
After years of hard work from our small team, Shadows of Doubt is finally out now! I’m immensely proud of what we’ve put together, it’s a game that I hope everyone can enjoy playing again and again. I invite you to explore the dystopian city of Shadows of Doubt.
