Toplitz Productions and developer Bitfall Studios have released the Growth Update for their Early Access card deck city builder game, TerraScape. Included in the update is a new Science Deck, adding new science related buildings.
The Growth Update adds a variety of new content to the cozy sandbox title. A new Science Deck allows players to explore mysterious mechanics, numerical hexagons, mad geniuses, and unpredictable mixtures. Academy, Alchemy Lab, Hospital, and Inventor are new buildings associated with the deck. With this new deck, cleverness and ingenuity will be rewarded. There is also a new almost insane combination.
Special Cards can now be drawn from decks. These cards offer new ways to develop a city. Sometimes one or two rare buildings may be found such as the Infrastructure Buildings which are no longer available as a deck. Example Special Cards include Place Stone, Place Fish, Clone Building, Raise Land, and Special Buildings.
New Merged Buildings are available. A new iron deck combination is out there to find. Nothing happens without iron and the new Iron Merged Building is there to help. Other Merged Buildings include the Citadel of Wisdom and a new variant for the Longhouse.
Weekly Challenges have been added. Each week there will be a new puzzle to solve or a brand new terrain to conquer. These new challenges come with their own high score lists for players to compete for the top spots.
Other changes include the addition of the Predator feature that comes in the form of wolves. A new map ping feature can highlight a specific position on the map or be used to point out something in multiplayer games. Players can now use the new Blueprints option for better city planning.
Following the recent Halloween Update, the TerraScape Growth Update also includes some seasonal content for December. A bit of festive holiday cheer will be present through the month in the form of colorful garland lights on buildings, Christmas trees, and even Santa’s sleigh.
TerraScape Availability
TerraScape is available in Early Access on Windows PC via Humble Bundle, Steam, and GOG for $12.99. The game is currently on sale with a 30% discount on Steam until December 20, 2023.
