Rogue Games and developer Subcult Joint LTD have released a new gameplay trailer during Feardemic’s Fear Fest for their upcoming techno-pop-punk Metroidvania Cookie Cutter.
At the game’s core is a story of love between an android powered by a mortal core, Cherry, and her creator, the greatest engineer of the time, Doctor Shinji. The Red Seed, a powerful fragment of the Void, is a sentient energy source used to power the Megastructure in which they reside.
After the Doctor is accused of stealing the Red Seed, Cherry is arrested, brutally beaten into pieces, and left for dead. Love quickly turns to violent rage and the game’s story begins to unfold. This brand new trailer reveals the game’s intro sequence, setting the stage for the slaughter that is about to be unleashed. Cherry is absolutely ready to obliterate anything that gets in her way.
In the Cookie Cutter Fear Fest Feature trailer viewers can see the absolute brutality Cherry endured. The only solution for Cherry is to make those who did this to her pay for their crimes. From devastating jump kicks to pummeling combo punches, Cherry is on a war path for vengeance. This hand-drawn 2D Metroidvania is filled with violent beatdowns. In the end what matters can be heard repeatedly in the trailer, they will pay.
This past June, a Cookie Cutter combat gameplay trailer was released, showing off plenty of the brutally violent moves Cherry can unleash on foes. Whether she uses a chainsaw or her own fists, Cherry is more than capable of hand anyone or anything its own rear end.

Cookie Cutter is expected to launch later this year on PC. Interested players wishlist the game now on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
