Kill It With Fire VR Launches on Meta Quest 2 and SteamVR

Publisher and game label tinyBuild along with independent developer Casey Donnellan Games are burning down virtual reality in Kill It With Fire VR. Loaded with eight-legged nightmares, the game is now available on Meta Quest 2 and SteamVR with PlayStation VR 1 & 2 coming later this year.

Some not-so-itsy bitsy spiders are attacking the neighborhood. Players, unless they want to be covered in spiders, will need to answer the call. The solution is to bash, crush, smack, squish, shoot, whack, slice, and dice these spiders. Oh yeah, almost forgot, there is also fire.

Spiders can be frightening, but there’s nothing more satisfying than ridding our own homes, stores and neighborhoods of their presence. I’m thrilled to bring the Kill it with Fire experience to the immersive realm of VR, where you can very safely exterminate the little abominations with absolutely nothing to fear… right?

Casey Donnellan, Solo Developer of Kill It With Fire

From simple items such as frying pans and vacuum cleaners to military-grade artillery, players arm themselves as a licensed Kill It With Fire exterminator. The goal is to track down eight different species of arachnids with their spider trackers and VRachnid gloves.

Once found, any means of spider removal is approved. Shotgun, approved! Shuriken, just don’t miss. Flower pot, perfectly fine. Flamethrower, no problem!

However, not all spiders will be easy to find. Both brains and brawn are needed to solve challenging environment puzzles in the procedurally generated world. Clues can be found high and low in the vibrant and whimsical VR world. All the familiar neighborhood locales are here: kitchens, offices, and gas station.

Complete special challenge missions to unlock an all-new secret ending. Brave Kill it With Fire exterminators can step into the Arachno-Gauntlet and put their spider-slaughtering skills to the test.
