Toplitz Productions and German game developer Bitfall Studios have announced an April Early Access release date their city builder game, TerraScape. Ahead of the Early Access launch will be a Beta playtest later this March.
Unlike most other city builders, TerraScape challenges players to build their dream city or town with card decks. Each card pack offers different buildings and ways to grow the city. Create scoring opportunities by strategic placement of cards in the game world to earn points and receive new cards.
Each building has different influences such as other buildings, natural resources, or the proper terrain. Buildings can have both positive and negative influences on the overall placement score.
No two maps or playthroughs will be the same. Maps are procedurally generated for the 2.5D game world. During Early Access the current procedural maps and challenges will be further expanded with more card decks, maps, and game modes.
The Early Access version of the game currently features the single player mode and tutorial along with the main pack of cards. Early Access is expected to last twelve months. During this development phase the developer plans to incorporate player feedback in the development process and content additions.

Starting at 7AM PT on March 16 players can join the TerraScape Beta playtest on Steam. The Beta will last a week with the conclusion set for March 23. Players can request access to join the TerraScape Playtest on the game’s Steam now.
