Super Arcade Football Kicks off on Nintendo Switch

Independent game development studio OutOfTheBit released their fast-paced modern take on classic football games, Super Arcade Football on Nintendo Switch. The self-published Switch release comes after the PC and mobile versions left early access at the start of September after being in development since 2016.

Besides classic matches against the computer, players can take on other players online in the game. Additionally, players can play with four players locally via couch co-op. Match modifiers allow for unique and interesting variations that not only keep the game fresh, but offer exciting changes when playing with others. Some of the various modifiers include changing the size of the goal, adding turbo objects, and adjusting the game speed.

For fans of retro gaming fans the game’s soundtrack was provided by Barry Leitch. Previously Leitch worked on titles such as Lotus Turbo Challenge 2 and Horizon Chase Turbo. Continuing with the retro theme the soundtrack was created in the 1990s Amiga computer .MOD file format.

Super Arcade Football is available digitally on Nintendo Switch for $9.99 USD. To celebrate the Nintendo Switch release the game is currently on sale with a 50% off discount for a limited time. The game is also available on Windows PC through Steam for $9.99 USD and on Android and iOS mobile devices. For more information about Super Arcade Football visit the game’s page on Steam.
