Solasta: Crown of the Magister Tactical RPG Hits 1.0 Release

Indie developer Tactical Adventures fully released their tactical RPG Solasta: Crown of the Magister on various digital platforms with version 1.0. The turn-based fantasy adventure places an emphasis on each character playing a critical role in the campaign where they can be a hero.

Tactical Adventures was granted a license from Wizards of the Coast to use the Dungeon & Dragons SRD 5.1 content and rules for the game. The world is both dynamic and mysterious. Featuring elements of verticality, the world allows players to heavily utilize their surroundings as a part of their strategy. From positioning ranged characters on high vantage points or sending the rogue down shafts or caverns to scout ahead, players are given more to work with.

Light is a powerful tool in Solasta. It can also be a threat. In the dark depths of various dungeons, light can illuminate the way and be used as a weapon against creatures of the darkness. However, light can also give away the party’s position to said creatures of the dark.

As a lifelong tabletop player, I’ve dreamed about creating Solasta for as long as I can remember, to bring my passion for pen and paper games to videogame form. Tactical Adventures is a small and mighty team, who has met every development milestone timely and accurately. We are all very proud of the finished product and hope players enjoy it as much as we do.

Mathieu Girard, Founder, CEO and Creative Director of Tactical Adventures

Other features in the game include a dungeon maker, character customization, and hours of authentic tabletop gameplay.

Alongside of the 1.0 launch the Solasta: Crown of the Magister soundtrack is available for purchase as a digital download. The soundtrack is produced and distributed by G4F Records. All 23 featured tracks are composed by Maxime Hervé who is known for “Beyond the Aquila Rift” from Netflix’s 2019 Love Death & Robots. Available on YouTube is the title track World of Light music video

Solasta: Crown of the Magister is available in full version 1.0 release on Windows PC through Humble Bundle, Steam or GOG for $39.99 USD. A Solasta: Crown of the Magister – Supporter Edition is available on Humble Bundle and Steam for $49.98 USD that includes the base game plus an environmental art pack, weapon art pack, badlands art pack, and additional dice with special FX.
