Welcome to the Nano Gaming News Weekly Rewind for January 16, 2021 where we cover stories and events that we missed over the past week.

This past week was a week of game announcements with many new and exciting titles on the horizon in 2021. Angry Bulls Studio released the first details and a trailer for their upcoming country building sim Build and Discover: America. Nimble Neuron is expanding the availability of Eternal Return: Black Survival with new servers in Hong Kong. Lastly, more news on the Epic Games versus Apple story as the legal challenges expand to the UK.

Here is a quick recap of a few of the stories posted this past week on Nano Gaming News. Mad Mimic Interactive is currently holding a Creator’s Preview Event with the latest demo for Dandy Ace. Featuring a wide range of Slavic folklore, Yaga takes players on exciting RPG journey from Breadcrumbs Interactive and Versus Evil. Team Rez and Valkyrie Initiative is ready to release their sci-fi space RPG Orange Cast next week. Mayhem games has set a release date for their story-rich adventure The Detective Chapters: Part One. In less than two weeks the psychological horror title The Medium releases and for now Bloober Team has released a live action cinematic trailer.


Build and Discover: America – Official Trailer | Angry Bulls Studio

Build and Discover: America in New Country Building Sim

Polish indie developer Angry Bulls Studio has announced the first details of their upcoming country building simulator Build and Discover: America. Based on the true history of the United States players get to build and discover the newly discovered continent.

At the start of the game player are responsible settling and developing the new world. Characters will need to be directed to various jobs such as hunting, construction, exploration, and resource gathering while overcoming the wilds and natural disasters. As time progresses road, water, rail transport and more will be developed.

While the events of the real world are in the history books, players actions can make things happen a bit different. From the policies to the economics players have great responsibility in determining the fate of the country they form.

Build and Discover: America will be released on Steam at release. Players can add the game to their wishlist and follow on Steam.


Eternal Return – Beta Test Trailer | Nimble Neuron

Eternal Return: Black Survival Comes to Asia

Indie developer Nimble Neuron is bringing their early access MOBA Battle Royale survival hybrid Eternal Return: Black Survival to Asia with new Hong Kong servers. After this past Wednesday’s 0.23.0 maintenance update the new servers will be up bringing in more highly competitive players.

The game is a unique mix of MOBA, survival and battle royale that creates a new league of its own. Creating both intense gameplay and deep reliance on strategy 18 players face off against each other in a match of survival. Original characters from the Black Survival universe along with a newly added characters are able to the player as they carve a path of carnage across Lumia Island.

Eternal Return: Black Survival is available in early access on Steam as a free to play game with in app purchases. A Starter Pack DLC is available for $29.99 USD that unlocks 8 characters: Hyunwoo, Magnus, Fiora, Nadine, Zahir, Isol, Li Dailin, and Yuki. Epic Games sues Apple and Google in the UK

The second week of the new year is now done and Epic Games has filled new complaints against Apple and Google in the United Kingdom. In the complaint filed on January 15, 2021 with the UK’s Competition Appeal Tribunal, Epic Games alleges that Apple and Google have abused their dominance over their respected operating systems by restricting competition from their app stores.

Additionally, Epic Games is asking the court to order both companies to reinstate its software and accounts including Fortnite. Currently Epic Games is taking legal action in the United States and Australia over their app store war with Apple and Google. Later in 2021 and disclosed from the October 2020 court filling the Epic Games versus Apple case in the United States will be heading to a bench trial on May 3rd. A pretrial conference is scheduled for April 21, 2021. Continued development on this story is expected as the court date approaches.
