Voiced by Troy Baker, The Maw is the main spirit world entity. From the trailer, the game’s protagonist and main character, Marianne is a medium torn between two realities who meets up with a character called Sadness. This mysterious masked girl, Sadness, who resides at the abandoned Niwa Hotel is clearly concerned with the information that she relays to Marianne about The Maw.

In the dual-reality game that renders two distinct worlds simultaneously players enter a high-tension psychological horror that shows how perspectives change with perception. Living across two worlds, the real and the spiritual, players will quickly realize that nothing is as it seems and the truth is very complicated.
