Goblinz Studio along with Seenapsis Studio bring their indie deck-building roguelite title, A Long Way Down, to early access on Steam.
Taking inspiration from hit games like Darkest Dungeon, Slay the Spire, and Hand of Fate, this game is set in a dark and tormented world. Players will need to assemble their party and use their cards to fight, survive, and build their way through a dark maze of monsters.
Which cards a player chooses will determine how they explore the dungeon and defend themselves. Along the way one will meet many fellow adventurers, upgrade their items and equipment, and collect rewards for their efforts. As players continue towards their end goal, cards can be used to bridge gaps and defy dead ends in the unforgiving maze. In the end, every choice made will affect the final battle against the mastermind in its lair.
The game is being launched into early access where it will stay for 4-8 months. Currently gameplay contains 2-3 hours of playtime with around 40 cards, 3 playable characters, and a dozen monsters.
A Long Way Down is available in early access on Steam for Windows, Mac, and Linux at a price of $17.99 USD. A special promotional discount pricing the game $16.19 USD runs until January 23, 2020. For the latest information on A Long Way Down follow @alwd_game on Twitter.
