Weekly Rewind: November 2, 2019

Welcome to the Nano Gaming News Weekly Rewind for November 2, 2019. This week BlizzCon went down and big news came out with lots of news and announcements. In this edition of the Weekly Rewind new announced details about World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, Overwatch 2, and Diablo IV are covered. Also over this past week Woven released their worldwide launch schedule and Neon Abyss dropped a demo full of vivid colors.

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands

BlizzCon 2019 arrived and with it came details of the next expansion in the World of Warcraft franchise. In World of Warcraft: Shadowlands players vendor into the beyond and explore the afterlife where they will gain new power from the Covenants that rule the lands.

Sylvanas Windrunner, the fallen leader of the Horde, pierced, or better described as shattered, the veil between Azeroth and the real of the dead. The process has set in motion events that threaten the cosmic balance between life and death. Now it is up to the heroes that remain to confront the horrors of Sylvanas’ actions.

Shadowlands is in upheaval. The normal order of souls being delivered to appropriate realms now directs all souls to the Maw. Only the most wicked were damned to the Maw. Players will become allies with Covenants who control the different planes within the Shadowlands to repair the damage and uncover the extent of Sylvanas’ designs.

The Kyrian of Bastion have a duty and discipline to safeguard the souls as they pass into the Shadowlands. Night Fae of Ardenweald defend the spirits of nature from those who deprive them of rebirth. Venthyr of Revendreth feast upon the souls of the prideful and vain in a gothic-like realm of torment. Warlike Necrolords of Maldraxxus form undead armies that serve as the first line of defense.

Shadowlands is taking us somewhere we’ve never dreamed of going in the Warcraft universe, and that’s incredibly exciting. We can’t wait to explore the great beyond, catch up with old departed friends, and forge an epic new chapter in the Warcraft saga together with our players.

J. Allen Brack, president of Blizzard Entertainment

Other features include a level squish where level 120 players will start Shadowlands at level 50. The new cap will be level 60. This is to make every level meaningful again. Improved character customization options allow players even more control over how their character looks.
