Weedcraft Inc Opens for Business in April Release

Developers Vile Monarch and publisher Devolver Digital have announced that Weedcraft Inc will open for business in an April release. The game is a narratively-driven take on tycoon simulator that examines the murky and volatile world of the American cannabis industry.

With the announcement also comes an in-depth gameplay trailer. The backstory of the two brothers at the forefront of Weedcraft Inc is examined and how their small step into the weed business expanded into a massive empire.

Each of the scenarios in the game follow a business venture dealing with the different issues of a weed business from legalization to various levels of production. The scenarios test the green thumb and the business side of cannabis entrepreneurship.

Players will have to decide which strains of weed to cultivate, how to tweak their growing environment, which soil nutrients for optimal strain quality, and when to cater to the expensive needs of the booming market’s demographics. The law’s rigidity is ready to be tested as players grow their product while playing either or both sides of the law while also deciding what type of business person they want to be.

The scenarios in Weedcraft Inc are largely informed by Lead Writer Scott Alexander who has extensively research the vast and very difficult landscape that is the U.S. legalization policy and politics. Stories in these scenarios take examples of ludicrous loopholes unique to specific regions along with the realities of prejudice into the game’s narrative. All of this creates a realistic true-to-life understanding of the legalization debate in people’s lives.

Weedcraft Inc will be available on Steam April 11, 2019 for $19.99. For more information visit the game’s website at weedcraftgame.com.
