Independent publisher and developer RedDeer.Games is preparing to serve their latest in-house simulation game, Tokyo Cooking, on Nintendo Switch next week.
Mark the day of May 17, for a reservation with Tokyo Cooking. In the kitchen, where the player resides, they will prepare iconic dishes, chat with customers, and run their dream sushi restaurant.
All the necessary equipment and ingredients can be found in the kitchen to fill customer orders. In total there are 32 ingredients to use when preparing the unique recipes and dishes. Each meal has its own to-do list that includes the client’s wishes. However there is more than just following directions in the kitchen.
Chefs are more than people who prepare food, they are artists. Cooking is the tastiest artform where balance, timing, and precision come into focus that will impact the art or rather the meal’s outcome. Each of these skills are needed when frying, cutting, and preparing food. Examples include adding spices or preparing sauces.
To add some spice to the gameplay, there are a few minigames that can add a few extra bucks to the overall order price. In addition there is a chance to encounter unique customers that may potentially become regulars at the player’s unique sushi restaurant.
After a hard day’s work in the kitchen and hopefully a pocket full of cash, players can sit down and relax in the restaurant once it closes for the evening. During this time phase of the day/night gameplay system, players can look for new decorations to buy for the restaurant. There are many options that allow for one to create a simple modern vibe or a light and traditional restaurant experience. The choice is in the player’s hands.
