Publisher Secret Mode and indie game developer Moon Lagoon last week released their cute and cozy pollution-cleaning open-world adventure game, Loddlenaut, on Nintendo Switch. Alongside the Nintendo Switch release, PC and Mac players will have access to the new free Goddles update.
Having first released on PC and Mac in November of last year, Loddlenaut takes players to the heavily polluted ocean world of GUP-14. With access to a variety of tools, players are tasked with cleaning up pollutants and raising adorable alien creatures known as loddles. These creatures can be fed and played with to evolve loddles into a variety of weird and wonderful forms.
The free Goddles update adds a new gardening game mechanic and a new area. Players can now grow plants and introduce new loddles into biomes that help increase their pollution resistance. These new loddles enable players to swim freely without worrying about pollution returning to restored biomes.
A new global pollution tracker and more inventory space will aid players in their restoration efforts. Rumor has it that players will want to further their exploration of GUP-14 and keep an eye out for some enormous ancient loddles.
