Vaultbreakers: BetaDwarf Teases Next Action RPG PvPvE Playtest

Vaultbreakers, an ambitious hardcore top-down action RPG with PvPvE and PvE thrills, is gearing up for its next playtest, courtesy of developer and publisher BetaDwarf. This Copenhagen-based studio is delivering a title that fuses relentless brawler combat with strategic extraction gameplay, poised to hook players in a chaotic fantasy realm.

After a well-received debut playtest, BetaDwarf is set to unleash an improved Vaultbreakers‘ experience from April 9th to April 13th, 2025, packed with player-driven enhancements. This playtest round zeroes in on PvPvE action—PvE tests are still on the horizon—introducing activable items to spice up tactical options, a revamped map with a fresh explorable zone, and dynamic environments where destructible objects and explosive barrels amplify the chaos. Quality-of-life upgrades, like smoother storage management, item filtering, and stack splitting, also join the list of updates further refining the experience based on community input. A slick teaser trailer, viewable below, offers a glimpse of the intensified battles awaiting testers.

About BetaDwarf

BetaDwarf is a Copenhagen-based Danish studio that has been a creative force since its founding in 2012, when the team famously squatted in an abandoned university classroom for seven months to craft their first game. Over 13 years, they’ve released titles like Forced, Forced: Showdown, and the hit multiplayer game Minion Masters, which has garnered over 4 million downloads and an 89% positive rating on Steam. As a self-published developer, BetaDwarf blends scrappy ingenuity with ambition, pushing the boundaries of co-op gaming to foster lifelong friendships worldwide, a mission that shines through in dynamic, community-driven design seen in the studio’s latest title, Vaultbreakers.
