Publisher tinyBuild and independent developer Hypnohead Studio has announced that a brand new demo for their royal roguelite, The King is Watching, will release on the Friday before Steam Next Fest and will be available throughout the event. The demo is filled with royal enhancements including a new tutorial, building upgrades, Endless Mode, and unique encounters.
Get ready to rule the kingdom with the power of the king’s gaze. The peasants and workers have grown lazy and will only work when the watchful eye of the king is on them. Decide between producing resources, training armies, or balancing both while strategically establishing a powerful kingdom.
Upgrade buildings to quickly gather resources. Utilize upgrades to ensure strong castle defenses. Use building upgrades to maintain control over the kingdom and execute strategies.
Go from an amateur prince to a steadfast king with the new tutorial system. Master the art of reigning supreme with the new onboarding system designed to help new players.

The King is Watching Availability
A new demo for The King is Watching is scheduled to release on Steam on Friday, February 21, 2025, and will be available until March 3, 2025. Currently a previously released demo for last January’s Real Time Strategy Fest is available to play on Steam until the new demo release.
The King is Watching has yet to announce a release date. Players can wishlist the game now on Steam.
