Magical Delicacy Delivering to PC and Xbox Next Week

Publisher Whitethron Games and solo developer sKaule are putting the final garnishes on their upcoming Metroidvania-lite meets cooking game, Magical Delicacy. Launching next week on PC, Xbox, and Xbox Game Pass, players are invited to explore a charming world of magic, mystery, and delicacies in a beautiful seaside town of Grat.

Inspired by Metroidvanias and cozy anime classics like Kiki’s Delivery Service, this 2D non-violent game is a wholesome adventure set in an enchanting pixel art world with a variety of accessibility features. Explore the world of witchy wonder via light platforming, meet quirky townsfolk, and cook some delicious delicacies to serve.

Play as Flora, a young witch who travels to the adventurer’s town of Grat. With a goal to develop her magical skills and become a full-fledged witch, upon arriving in town Flora takes up shop to cook meals and potions. The town is comprised of charming locals, mysterious travelers, legendary figures, and masters of their craft. Through her explorations, Flora will discover stories and learn all the town’s secrets.

Collect ingredients from various shops, foraging around, and by growing them in the garden. Cook up some treats in the kitchen by using a variety of tools and then deliver the meals to hungry townsfolk. Upgrade the kitchen by purchasing new equipment to create additional dishes. The extensive cooking system allows for flexible and creative choices to fulfill orders. Each dish created and served presents an opportunity to experience this unique magical world.

Magical Delicacy Availability

Magical Delicacy has a release date scheduled for July 16, 2024, and will launch on Windows PC via Steam, and Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for $24.99. The game will also be available day one with Xbox Game Pass. At launch, the following languages will be available on PC and Xbox: English, French, German, Japanese, Latin American Spanish, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

On August 15, 2024, the game will launch on Nintendo Switch.

The Magical Delicacy soundtrack will be available on Steam on July 16, 2024, and is currently available on Bandcamp, Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Pandora, Tidal, and Deezer. Full of relaxing tunes and orchestrated melodies, this soundtrack compliments the magical witchy world presented in the game.
