Publisher Whitethorn Games and developer Balloon Studios have released their immersive and relaxing plant puzzle game, Botany Manor, on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox as well as Xbox Game Pass.
Take a step back in time to 19th century England. At the estate of Botany Manor lives the retired botanist Arabella Greene. Also residing at the estate is her vast collection of rare and long-forgotten plants. As Arabella, players are tasked with discovering and learning the ins and outs of what it takes to make plants live once. Comb through Arabella’s notes and exploring the historic grounds for clues to determine what the strange flora requires to flourish.
As an avid botanist myself, it’s been a joy to work with Balloon Studios to bring Botany Manor to launch. This game represents our commitment to crafting inclusive, accessible experiences that captivate and inspire players. Unlock and plant unusual new seeds. Scattered around the luxurious property are a number of interactable objects to aid in solving each garden puzzle that can be turned and flipped. Grow the unique plants and discover their mysterious qualities.

Last week a gameplay video released, exploring what must be done to make the unusual Pixie Tears plant bloom. Like all other plants on the estate, this plant has a particular series of steps to make it flourish. Pixie Tears are one of the many plants Arabella has collected over the years. Balloon Studios’ Laure De May takes players on the journey through Arabella’s research and determine what steps are necessary to bring this once forgotten plant back to full bloom.
In March of this year three other mysterious plants were announced via three teaser images. The three plants included the Windmill Wort, Ash Plume, and Fool’s Emerald.
Botany Manor Availability
Botany Manor is available on PC via Steam and on consoles for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S for $24.99. The game is also available on Xbox Game Pass. A 10% launch discount is available for PC players via Steam until April 16, 2024.
A PC demo is currently available on Steam.
