Skul: The Hero Slayer Console Players Get Free Update and Paid DLC

NEOWIZ and developer SouthPAW Games have announced that the Demon King Castle Defense free update and the premium Mythology Pack DLC for Skul: The Hero Slayer is now available on consoles.

Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox owners can now experience the epic conclusion of Skul’s journey that will leave players on the edge of their seat. Last November PC users saw the release of Demon King Castle Defense update and Mythology Pack DLC while technical issues caused a delay for the release on consoles.

The Mythology Pack is the game’s first DLC and features a rich adventure with five new playable Skulls inspired by famous mythologies. Twenty new powerful items connected to mythological origins and a brand-new inscription that adds additional strategic depth are included in the DLC.

Along with the console DLC release comes the free Demon King Castle Defense update. Set to deliver an adrenaline-filled experience, this update adds a whole new chapter plus two new bosses. Epic battles and strategic challenges await Skul as his legendary journey comes to an end.

Since the January 2021 release of Skul: The Hero Slayer, the 2D roguelite pixel art platformer has achieved the feat of 2 million copies in sales. This milestone reflects sales from all platforms including PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store as well as console sales on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

Skul: The Hero Slayer Availability

The Skul: The Hero Slayer Mythology Pack DLC is now available on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch consoles and on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store for $3.99.

Skul: The Hero Slayer is available on PC for Windows, Mac and Linux through Humble Bundle, Steam, and Epic Games Store for $19.99. In addition the game is now included with GamePass. A Skul: The Hero Slayer Soundtrack is available for $4.99.

To celebrate the console release of the Demon King update and Mythology Pack DLC on consoles a limited-time sale will knock 50% off the game for select platforms.
