The deep psychological survival-horror adventure title, Paranoid, from Madmind Studio has arrived on PC. Follow the dark tale of 31-year-old Patrick Calman and his battle for sanity.
Gameplay features two narrative paths that follow a multi-threaded storyline full of psychological horror, brutal action, and survival. The first path puts Patrick on a journey to reconnect with his only surviving family member. His parents were killed in a brutal way and his sister had disappeared more than 10 years ago recently called to announce her return. Patrick is faced with the difficult decision of leaving his apartment to get medication and visit his sister or staying home.
If Patrick decides to stay at home in his apartment prison without his meds the second path begins to unfold. His lady neighbor has been haunting his dream and yet he knows very little about her. Staying at home affords him the opportunity to learn more about this mysterious neighbor and possibly uncover a dark secret.
Terrifying enemies fill the world as Patrick tries to balance himself between his Paranoid Schizophrenia and reality. Combat is intense and violent with potentially gore-filled executions. Both melee weapons and guns are available for use. The first-person game world immerses players with its realistic visuals and a disturbing atmosphere of mixed psychosis and surrealism.
A recently released Launch Trailer for Paranoid treated viewers with new gameplay footage of Patrick as he deals with his mental trauma and shattered psyche.
At Madnight 2024: Horror Showcase, an annual game event hosted by Madmind Studio, featured a new gameplay video titled Trashdoll that is centered around riverfront camp and trash yard. The video includes combat and a glimpse at Patrick’s state of mind at that moment in the story. Visit the Madmind Studio YouTube channel to watch the Trashdoll gameplay video.
