Madmind Studio has released a Launch Trailer for their upcoming deep psychological survival-horror adventure title, Paranoid. The story of Patrick Calman, a man suffering from Paranoid Schizophrenia, unfolds later this week when the game launches on PC.
A Launch Trailer for Paranoid is out and it features new gameplay video not seen in previous trailers and teasers. In the Launch Trailer, viewers follow 31-year-old Patrick as he deals with his mental trauma and shattered psyche. His only surviving family member, a sister that suddenly disappeared, has reached out over the phone announcing her arrival.
Now Patrick is faced with a difficult decision of leaving his apartment to get medication and visit his sister or stay at home without his meds and possibly uncover a dark secret about his neighbor. This is his first chance to see his sister in ten years, however, the neighbor that has been haunting his dreams. After all, who is this lady neighbor and why can’t he get her out of his head?
The game features two narrative paths that follow a multi-threaded storyline full of psychological horror, brutal action, and survival. Combat is intense and violent with executions by melee weapons and guns. Terrifying enemies fill the world as Patrick tries to balance himself between his paranoia and reality. With realistic visuals, players are immersed into a world with a disturbing atmosphere of mixed psychosis and surrealism.
At Madnight 2024: Horror Showcase, an annual horror showcase event held my Madmind Studio, the developer will feature new gameplay from Paranoid. The showcase takes place on December 14, 2023, on the developer’s YouTube channel one day before the game’s launch.
Paranoid Availability
Paranoid‘s release date is set for December 15, 2023, and will launch on Humble Bundle, Steam, GOG, Muve, and Fanatical for Windows PC for $24.99. Wishlist Paranoid on Steam and GOG. The game features high impact horror themes, violence, sexualized violence, sex, and nudity.
The game will be available on the Epic Games Store at a future date. A console edition of Paranoid, that is being ported by Red Deer Games, will hit the market in 2024.
