Deceive Inc. Neon Nights Update, Seasonal Catalog 2

Publisher Tripwire Presents and developer Sweet Bandits Studios have released the Deceive Inc. Neon Nights update for the spy vs. spy multiplayer FPS title. This free update brings the release of Seasonal Catalog 2 and an all-new Agent.

Following the release of the Misery Empire update, the Neon Nights update brings a wealth of new content to the stealth spycraft-themed title. Catalog Season 2 has arrived and continues to offer the player-friendly alternative to the traditional Battle Pass system.

Players can unlock the new agent, Sasori, who acts as an assassin and brings a new non-lethal poison status effect. Sasori’s backstory is that of an infamous assassin who took a vow to stop his deadly ways after rebelling against his former boss, Hans. He later opened a restaurant in Osaka and lived peacefully until Deceive Inc. operative Chavez compelled him to return with one condition: No collaterals.

The new non-lethal poison effect comes with a unique kit of weapons abased around throwing darts and a traditional wakizashi sword. In addition to blocking healing, poison prevents advanced interactions such as hacking doors. Sasori’s base passive allows him to track poisoned agents through walls, allowing him to isolate rivals before moving in to strike.

Other Catalog Season 2 items include premium cyber-punk themed legendary skins for both Sasori and Hans. Special skins are also available for Squire, Yu-Mi, and Chavez with Catalog coins that are earned through gameplay. Agent’s can further be customized using a new selection of exclusive inks that add special VFX for the very first time.

Designed to reduce collateral damage and raise operation standards, changes have been made to the Heat System. This system is to discourage unnecessary harm to civilians and was first introduced in the Misery Empire update and has received overwhelmingly positive community feedback. Agents who mistake civilians for rival agents are penalized with increased vulnerability and suffer extra damage. The latest update increases the consequences for collateral damage with a a full Heat level penalty for downing a civilian, staff, or technician.
