Mimimi Games is heading to gamescom 2023 and are bringing their upcoming self-published stealth strategy game, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew. The game will also be available on GOG at launch, plus the demo has returned for a limited time on Steam.
Last time Mimimi Games was at gamescom was to show off Desperados III. Now the developer who is known for creating strategy and tactical games is heading back to gamescom with Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew. Attendees can swing by the Indie Arena Booth area, visit their booth, play the game, and have a chat. The event runs from August 23 to August 27.
Gameplay follows The Red Marley’s cursed pirate crew as they hunt for a mysterious treasure from the legendary Captain Mordechai. Set in an alternate Golden Age of Piracy in the Lost Caribbean, the pirates operate from The Red Marley, a ship with a living soul.
Each crewmate has a unique supernatural power. Last March, the developer introduced several members of the cursed crew in the Characters Trailer. The list of crewmembers include the lethal ship navigator Afia Manicato, Gaëlle le Bris with a magical cannon, Mr. Mercury the jokester with his pet fish companion Sir Reginald, and ship cook and ninja assassin Toya of Iga.
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew Availability
At launch, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew will now be available on GOG in addition to previously announced distribution platforms.
A playable demo for Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is available on Steam until July 17. Previously, the demo was made available during Steam Next Fest this past June. During the event, the game reached 19 out of the 50 most-played demos.
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew releases on PC via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store as well as Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on August 17, 2023. Where available, players can add the game to their wishlists.
