Wired Productions and developer Rogue Sun have released their immersive narrative puzzle adventure, Tin Hearts, on PC and consoles. Both digital and physical versions of the game are available.
Players are invited to immerse themselves into a tale of love and compromise. Using tin toy soldiers, players will march through the game world solving increasingly difficult and elaborate puzzles. Each area and every puzzle unravels a deeply emotional story that spans generations and dimensions. All of the gameplay takes place in an alternative-Victorian world and a brilliant soundtrack.
Prior to the game’s launch an animated prequel, The Little Soldier Who Dared, was released. Albert, an inventor during the Victorian era, along with his daughter Rose, travel to a toymaking convention to show off their creations and to participate in an important meeting. The stakes are high as the outcome could forever change their destiny.
At night when the convention hall is empty, Albert’s toys reveal just how special they are. The Little Soldier Who Dared is narrated by Stephen Fry, written by Kostas Zarifis and Mike Faraday, art by Taufiq Permana, animation by Thor Hayton, and sound and music by Matthew Chastney. The animated prequel can be viewed on YouTube.
To celebrate the launch the Wired Productions own indie music label, Black Razor Records created a cover of the iconic 1980s track “Toy Soldiers” by Martika. This updated cover reflects the deep emotion contained in Tin Hearts. Along with gameplay video, the cover can be heard in the Tin Hearts Launch Trailer.
