Chivalry 2 Raiding Party Update, PS Plus Member Launch

Tripwire Presents and developer Torn Banner Studios have released the Raiding Party Update for their violent blood-filled multiplayer medieval slasher Chivalry 2. For the month of May, PS Plus Members can enjoy the game for free.

Available now, the Chivalry 2 Raiding Party Update increases the size and scope of the medieval battlefield game with The Sacking of Bridgetown, a brand-new Team Objective Map. Featuring 64 players, this brand-new scenario finds an Agathian wine festival being disrupted by a Tenosian invasion. The invaders are here to torch the countryside, crash the festival, and throw all the nobles off bridges. However, Agathian defenders are ready to fight these pesky invaders and stop their incursion.

Now in Beta is the Cross Party feature. Players can look forward to joining forces with their friends regardless of platform. Both adding friends and creating parties can be done across all platforms with this now in Beta feature.

A new weapons, the Heavy Cavalry Sword, is ready for use by Footman Man-at-Arms and Knight Guardian classes. This one-handed weapon has a long reach at the cost of slow swings. With horseback combat in mind, this weapon allows players to charge into battle and use the special attack while mounted. Featuring unique slash attacks when mounted and on foot, this heavy sword provides much versatility.

The new Raiding Party Campaign Pass features many new challenges and customization unlocks including new armor, imperfections, facepaint, heraldry, and weapons.

In the near future, players will be able to prove their strength and skill before cheering crows in the new Mounted Arena Mode. For a limited-time, this 1v1 PvP Arena Mode allows players to mount up and challenge each other to a joust on Tournament Grounds with randomized weapons. This mode is available from May 19 through June 4, 2023, and joins other fan-favorite limited-time modes including Brawl, Archer vs. Archer, and Free-for-All.
