Ahead of their GDC 2023 show floor appearance, developer Bonsai Collection released the ‘At the Heart of Luna Abyss’ trailer at The MIX Spring Showcase last Friday. The nearly 90 second trailer shows off some of the diverse environments in the narrative-driven first-person action-adventure title.
For the first time, ‘At the Heart of Luna Abyss’ shows in full detail many of the game’s locations. The panning trailer was designed to give viewers a taste of both the lunar environment and the secrets the leak from its core.
With the remains of a long-lost colony scattered across the landscape, Luna Abyss is a world of mystery. At the same time it is an ideal environment to send prisoners who must work off their sentences. Only with the guiding help of an artificial prison guard name Aylin, can players discover the secrets of the once-prosperous city of Greymont. More importantly what exactly happened to Luna’s lost colony and what are those strange voices calling out from the depths?
With every trailer we put out, it’s exciting to reveal just a little bit more of what we have in store. The whole team gets a buzz from seeing the reaction of gamers across the internet, which makes putting the pieces together of this narrative-driven bullet-hell FPS even more rewarding.Benni Hill, Creative Director at Bonsai Collective
As players venture through interior core of Luna, they will face a variety of challenges. Alien terrain, twisted cosmic horror inhabitants, and disturbing revelations await in the depths. Split-second decision-making is critical for success. Both combinations of abilities and a arsenal of weapons are at one’s disposal.
To survive the deadly encounters players will need to unleash an explosive bullet-hell on corrupted souls and cosmic horrors. In the end, just maybe one will server and discover all the secrets the abyss has to offer.
At the GDC Expo in San Francisco’s Moscone Center, attendees can see Luna Abyss featured on the Epic Games stand from Wednesday, March 22, to Friday, March 24.
