Thunderful Publishing and independent developer Maschinen-Mensch announced a release date for the PlayStation and Xbox console editions of their roguelike pulp adventure Curious Expedition 2.
Starting on March 17, PS4 and Xbox One owners can join in on fun that PC and Nintendo Switch owners have been enjoying in the highly received game. Curious Expedition 2 currently has an 88% Very Positive rating on Steam with more than 2,200 reviews. The game will also be playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility.
We are so excited to reveal that Curious Expedition 2 will soon be out on PlayStation and Xbox. Creating this game has been quite the journey in itself. For all you adventurers out there, we wish you good luck on your travels. The base game and the Highlands of Avalon DLC are just the beginning – with two additional DLCs planned, now also on these consoles, there’s a lot more to come from us in the future!
Johannes Kristmann, Co-Founder at Maschinen-Mensch
On the same day, March 17, the game’s latest DLC, Highlands of Avalon, will launch sending players a brand new island type. A new mechanic related to traversing hills and valleys, along with a new tribe called the Picts, eight new recruitable characters, new equipment, and enemies are included in the new DLC. Switch owners will also gain access to the new DLC that was released last November at the price of $5.99 USD for PC players on Steam.
Curious Expedition 2 is available on Windows PC through Steam for $19.99 USD. A demo is currently available on Steam. Players can pick up the original Curious Expedition on Humble Bundle and Steam. More information about Curious Expedition 2 is available on the game’s Steam page or on the developer’s page here.
