Wired Productions and Italian studio LKA released their dark first-person psychological thriller Martha Is Dead digitally on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. Physical edition pre-orders are available in addition to the limited PS5 Collector’s Edition. This title comes from the studio behind the psychological adventure The Town of Light.
Martha Is Dead was always the natural next step for LKA after The Town of Light. The game builds upon our signature style of deep, multi-layered narratives to deliver a story that explores loss, relationships, and psychological distress, all while the mass hysteria that was the latter years of the Second World War plays out in the background. It’s been a long journey for everyone here at LKA – one specifically tied to the countryside around us and the history behind it – but we think it’s been worth it.

Set in 1944, the game combines real-world Italian countryside locations with links to historical events during the later part of World War II. By adding in elements of superstition and folklore the game offers an immersive first-person experience that gamers will not forget.
As Allied and Axis forces battle across the nation, a body of a young woman lies on the shores of a lake. Martha, having drowned, leaves a story of murder that her sister must deal with as the horrors of war creep closer.
This is a milestone release for both Wired Productions and LKA. There’s never been a story like this before – one that touches on issues in quite the way Martha Is Dead does. It’s an important tale to tell, and one we think will stay with players long after the credits have rolled.

A 10% off release discount is available until March 3, 2022. The game is available digitally through the PlayStation Store for PS4 and PS5 and from Microsoft for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for $29.99 USD.
Pre-orders are available for the physical release on PS4 and PS5 at shop.wiredproductions.com or at Limited Run Games. The physical version will release on Thursday, March 10, 2022, with an exclusive reversible sleeve, fold out double-sided A3 poster, collectable sticker sheet and a digital download of a Tarot card pack based on the in-game cards.
A Martha Is Dead Collector’s Edition for the PS5 is available for pre-order. The collector’s edition is limited to 1000 units and will ship when production is complete. Shipping is expected to occur three to four months after release.
The limited edition Martha Is Dead triple 12″ vinyl soundtrack is available from wired.gg/MarthaIsDeadVinyl and Limited Run Games. This vinyl is limited to 500 pressings and is expected to ship three to four months after launch.
