DYSMANTLE Post-apocalyptic Action RPG Out Now on PlayStation and Xbox

Multiplatform developer and publisher 10tons released their post-apocalyptic open-world action RPG, DYSMANTLE, on PlayStation and Xbox. The PC version was released last November and commands a 92% “Very Positive” rating on Steam with nearly 5400 reviews.

So the world fell apart and now those left have to survive. With so few people left everything is up for grabs and in this game almost everything can be broken down for materials. Naturally one will need to right equipment. Plastics, rubber, metals, and so much more are ripe for the taking to build and invent a post-apocalyptical paradise.

Nasty and vile creatures roam the world. Fight or flight are the only two options. For those who like to fight there are many different crafted permanent weapons, tools, outfits, and trinkets. Clearing out an area of nasty monsters also allows one to claim it as their own by building an outpost.

Unlike other games where players are always knocking on deaths door because of starvation, DYSMANTLE takes a completely different approach. In fact there is no such thing as starvation in the game. Instead of eating food to survive, one cooks and eats delicious delicacies for permanent stat and ability upgrades. Fishing, farming, and hunting provide lots of potentially yummy resources.

It is a big open world. Those from before had developed great things including technology. Players will want to dig through the ruins of the past to find leftovers from the hitech era. Any found toys can give one a technological advantage against the hostile world. Digging even deeper into the Tombs of the Old Ones will reveal ancient knowledge. However, one might need to solve a puzzle or two.

The game is built on 10tons Ltd. proprietary game engine technology. This engine is primarily targeted at PCs alongside current and next-generation consoles. Details about other platforms, such as iOS and Android, will be announced at a later date by the developer.

DYSMANTLE is now available on PS4 and PS5 from the PlayStation Store and on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S from Microsoft for $19.99 USD. The PC version was released on November 16, 2021, and is available on Steam or GOG for $19.99 USD for Windows and Mac. More information about DYSMANTLE can be found at dysmantle.com.
