System Era Softworks is lifting off and landing on Nintendo Switch for Astroneer, the developer’s open world space exploration and base-building sandbox game. Now in its fifth year of active development the Nintendo Switch release now brings Astroneer to all three major console brands and PC.
The Nintendo Switch arrival includes the more than forty content updates since release and includes the four-player online co-op. In addition the release includes the latest mission across the solar system where players track down brand-new Galastropod friends in the Xenobiology content update.
Still at the core of the game is exploring new and strange worlds. Players can gather resources and snap together components to build bases and vehicles is further their exploration activities. In the open world sandbox environment players are free to traverse and modify the world as they desire. The only real limit is one’s own imagination.
Nintendo Switch owners can purchase Astroneer at the Nintendo eShop for $29.99 USD. For a limited time, players who purchase the game on Nintendo Switch can unlock the in-game “Power” bundle that features a palette and visor customization set.
