Full Screen Games released The Supercharged Update for their colorful alien bug-filled isometric tower defense game Bugvasion TD. This update follows a series of minor and major updates since the game’s February release that have enhanced and expanded the gameplay experience.
The Supercharged Update for Bugvasion TD features a new mechanic, Supercharging, event system, reaction system, points, match recap, expanded tutorial, and new music. In addition the update added Chinese language support to the already supported languages of English, French, Hungarian, and Russian.
Supercharging is a new mechanic that makes using special attacks a more rewarding and strategic experience. Players can now reload each attack up to six times. Chaining together several attacks and unleash major devastation on enemies.
Randomized waves with different features are in the event system. Now one will never know what comes next. These unknown waves can be helpful at times and not helpful at all. Positive or negative benefits, it all comes down to luck.
From a funny animation to a one liner from the hero, the reaction system is there to compliment the player. To activate it players will have to do stunts like killing a certain number of enemies at once or using a supercharged special attack amongst other things.
Points are up for grabs. Players can earn points that unlock badges and Steam Achievements. A new bug report screen appears at the end of the match that offers a recap of the match previously played. This screen is useful when competing with others to see who earned the highest score.

Some future details for Bugvasion TD have been revealed. A free DLC with new levels, enemies, and towers is still planned in the very near future. More languages and seasonal updates are planned for the future along with porting to Linux, Mac OS, and consoles.
For those unfamiliar with the indie title, Bugvasion TD brings a Micro Machines look to the tower defense genre with colorful levels and quirky alien controlled sci-fi bug enemies. The battle takes place room by room of the players house where they can use the surroundings to their advantages. There are 20 levels where players will use a vast arsenal of weapons and a powerful skill tree to utilize unlocks, upgrades, and special attacks.
