Against the Storm New Crimson Biome Screenshots

Eremite Games is teasing a brand new crimson biome for their upcoming roguelite fantasy city builder Against the Storm with a new set of screenshots. The screenshots provide exclusive new insight into the game’s latest biome and the three species, humans, beavers, and lizards that inhabit the rain soaked world.

A strange shade of crimson colors the beautifully dangerous landscape of the new crimson biome, better known as the Herb Garden of the Kingdom. The reason for the name is because there is an abundance of berries, herbs, and roots. While being as wet as the other biomes, this one is much warmer making a perfect habitat for the lizardfolk.

Currently there are three biomes in the game. In addition to the new crimson biome for Against the Storm, there is the unforgiving marshlands also known as the Mushroom biome. The climate is cold and the villagers have a more difficult time in both work and survival.

The last biome is the Royal Woodlands. These are the Queen’s forest. Rich in wood, vegetables, and mushrooms these lands offer a perfect place for growing crops with its soft fertile soil.

Players at the start can choose their starting biome in the world map view. Each biome has their own characteristics with different statistics and their own challenges. The player is never given a full collection of buildings so one will need to choose their starting bonuses and deck building blueprints carefully if they wish to survive.

Against the Storm is scheduled for a release on Steam and GOG in 2021. Players can add the game to their wishlist now on both digital distribution platforms. For more information about the game follow @AtS_CityBuilder on Twitter or join the Against the Storm Discord.
