Boutique indie developer Pine Studio is now accepting closed alpha sign ups as they release details about their next title Escape Simulator. Billed as a next-gen escape room game, Escape Simulator comes from the team behind other puzzle games such as The Birdcage Series and Faraway Series.
Inspired by real-life escape rooms, Escape Simulator will feature 15 rooms in various different and unique environments. What separates this game from others is its attention to detail within the first-person simulation. The developer is taking into account that players will do unexpected things. Objects have weight, so small items can be picked up and larger items dragged. Small objects can be held, examined and thrown.
A game in which a team of players cooperatively discover clues, solve puzzles, and accomplish tasks in one or more rooms to progress and accomplish a specific goal, often to escape from the site of the game.Tomislav Podhraški – Pine Studio
The game features a co-op online multiplayer mode. All of the puzzles are designed so that players can solve them solo or through active collaboration with others. For additional challenges each room has eight hidden collectible tokens offering expanded gameplay for solving more difficult versions of the puzzles.
Currently the developer is inviting players to sign-up for its alpha test on the game’s website. In addition interested gamers are invited to join the Pine Studio Discord where one can chat with the developers, get exclusive news about the studio’s games, and participate in beta testing.
Escape Simulator is heading towards a closed alpha in the near future. Interested players can wishlist the game now on Steam. Currently the game’s release date is planned for a 2021 on Windows, Mac and Linux. Shortly after the Steam release the game will be brought to mobile, console and VR platforms.
