Indie developer Tactical Adventures announced that its upcoming tactical RPG Solasta: Crown of the Magister is heading to early access on Steam this fall. The Paris based developer also released a brand new trailer for Gamescom 2020.
Gamers attending Gamescom can get a preview of the tabletop inspired tactical RPG. Attendees can find Tactical Adventures in the Indie Arena Booth where they check out the game and chat with the developers. Along with the Gamescom 2020 event a free demo is available to play now through Sunday on Steam.
The team-based adventure uses the Dungeons & Dragons SRD 5.1 content and rules under a license granted to Tactical Adventure by Wizards of the Coast. In the game each character plays a critical role in the turn-based combat campaign where they can be the hero or point of failure for the group.
Light is a powerful tool in the dynamic world of Solasta. While light can be used as a weapon against creatures of the dark, it can also give away the party’s position to other nasty creatures that go bump in the night. The world also features vertical elements. In simpler terms, players will need to use their surroundings as part of their strategy when progressing across the world and through dungeons.
Solasta: Crown of the Magister is heading to early access on Steam this fall. A demo is currently free to play on Steam through Sunday, August 30, 2020. More information about Solasta: Crown of the Magister can be found on the game’s website at solasta-game.com or the Solasta: Crown of the Magister Discord.
