Party Animals Brawler Coming to PC and Consoles

A hilariously floppy physics-based party brawler with cuddly cute animals from Recreate Games called Party Animals is heading to PC and consoles. The late 2020 game release is being published by the studio’s owner Source Technology.

Combining adorably cute animals such as kittens and puppies with a physics-based cooperative brawler creates plenty of opportunities for hilarity. All of the fun critters, that includes little bunnies and duckies, will wrestle, punch, throw and tussle their way through a variety of task-oriented or competitive games. In addition some games will be available in online and offline game modes.

During the Steam Game Festival: Summer Addition, the Party Animals demo had an unprecedented player demand that actually crashed the developer’s third party servers.

We were overwhelmed with the reaction to the Party Animals demo at the Steam Game Festival a couple of weeks ago. It literally was a case of ‘cute overload’, as the demand exceeded the abilities of our third-party servers, and crashed the game! We never anticipated the game would be so popular that we’d have to work around the clock to fix our servers, but we are not complaining! We are thrilled that people enjoyed the game so much, and for a small studio like ours, this is a good problem to have.

The physics engine behind Party Animals is a unique in-house engine developed by Recreate Games. It features complete physics-driven character movements that lead to haphazardly floppy encounters that are hilariously unpredictable. For example a punch landed in the perfect sweet spot will be able to send a foe flying off the stage. However, a not so perfect punch may lead to the character getting knocked off balance sending them into their own tumble.

A broad range of various environments presents even more opportunities for fun and those anything can happen moments. From a free-for-all skirmish in all-out lollipop warfare to objective-based gameplay with a fluffy shark and a cute dinosaur there is so much fun to be had.

Party Animals is scheduled for action on PC and consoles in late 2020. Interested players can check out the game’s website at partyanimalsgame.com, the Steam page, or follow @happyhappynemo for more information.
