Nexile and UKIYO Publishing have set the hero free in the comical vertical PC platformer Jump King as the game enters its console release. Just slightly past the one year mark on PC, Jump King is now available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
Last May, Nexile self-published their 2D platformer to very positive reviews on Steam. Now with help from UKIYO Publishing even more gamers can enjoy the tactical leaping adventure with its console release.
Gameplay follows a hero on his journey to ascend a colossal tower. According to legend, at the very top is the mythical “Smoking Hot Babe” just waiting to be rescued. At the core of the vertical pixel art world is an easy to learn, extremely difficult to master philosophy. Players need to position themselves to then charge their jump, aim, and let gravity have its way with each leap.
Dear console gamers, you are not prepared for this emotional journey! Your soul will be put to the ultimate test in our platforming game where all you do is jump… sounds simple, right? Let’s just say it is not as easy as you might think. Much due to it being such a personal challenge; there is nearly no randomness in the game so it all comes down to your skill! Every mistake and success is your own. With perseverance and a bit of luck we believe anyone can beat Jump King though! We recommend every console gamer to take up this challenge, and now you can even do it from the comfort of your own sofa!

The game is hard and the hero will face plant into the ground more than once. After all a nice dirt meal is a great motivator to improve, right? Each progress point is saved along the heroic journey so one can quickly get right back to where mistakes were made and now be corrected. Experimentation is encouraged as the game is self-described as a tactical leaping adventure.
Jump King offers the most challenging yet rewarding experience to gamers of all skill levels. With the falls being so frustrating it makes the success of completing a jump more enjoyable. It’s quite addictive. Finally we have managed to reach the end, but we still have 2 modes left to master.
