Get ready to sneeze a lot as Pixadome and Zorbix Publishing launch their allergen-filled platformer, Hayfever, on Steam. Hayfever is also available on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
The fast-paced platformer takes place in a 2D cute pixel-art world where Postman Thomas needs to deliver the mail. However, Thomas is allergic to just about everything. Pollen, smog, peanuts, and so much more all cause problems. In an unfortunate sneezing fit, Thomas lost 240 pieces of mail that now must be recovered and delivered before his hot tempered monster of a boss finds out.
All of the action is spread out across 140 dangerous and challenging levels over four seasons in which players will deliver packages and recover the missing mail. Thomas can utilize his allergies which happen to grant him special powers from certain types of allergens. As players embark on their delivery and recovery a fun and playful soundtrack composed by Kristoffer Engman, who is more commonly known as Knasibas, provides a musical treat.
The game is designed for speed as players master the challenging movement and literally blow through the levels. A post-launch update is planned that will introduce an official speedrun timer mode for players. Now get out there in Hayfever and deliver the mail as no allergen will prevent a mail carrier from the swift completion of their rounds.
Hayfever is now available on Steam for PC and on console for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. The game is regularly priced at $14.99 USD and on Steam, gamers can take a special 15% launch discount until March 2, 2020.
