Mechanic Miner to Dig Out of Early Access

Hello John announced today that their steampunk building and crafting adventure, Mechanic Miner, is to leave early access in late February. With the 1.0 version release comes a massive overhaul to story mode, new features, new areas, and overall improved gameplay experience.

The game is a 2D sandbox with mechanical steam-powered machines. After the player crash-landed on an alien world, Mars, they must use their wits to survive. With the aid of their trusty multitool players are able to research and craft remarkable vehicles to overcome any and all obstacles and hostile lifeforms that they will face in their quest to leave the planet.

A wide range of vehicle and weapon parts give players the freedom to set their imagination loose to make what vehicles they desire to overcome the challenges of Mars. Once a vehicle is built, players can take it for a spin and see what it can do. Also bring a blueprint so it can be rebuilt.

We’ve come a long way since the early access release of Mechanic Miner. With the help of our community we’ve fixed over 450 bugs, added mod-support and a lot of new content. We’re very happy about how it turned out, and we can’t wait to share it with our players.

Finn Nielsen, Game Director

Players can share their blueprints on the Steam Workshop. Mechanic Miner features support for custom modes through the Steam Workshop as well. Since the May 22, 2019 early access release, nearly 600 items have been added to the game’s workshop.

Other features include a physics engine and glorious beards. The art style is pixel steampunk would be alien paradise if it weren’t for all the hostile lifeforms and a big subterranean worm.

Mechanic Miner is set to leave early access on February 20, 2020. The game is currently available in early access on Steam and is priced at $17.99 USD.
